ABOUT

my story

I’ve loved interiors for over thirty years — from decorating my first home in my twenties to renovating a 16th‑century rectory in Somerset. I enjoy making things: writing, photography, cooking, sewing, gardening, and crafting, but interiors are my constant. I’ve renovated and staged many homes, often on tight budgets, and ran a small shop selling antiques and homewares. People often praise my eye for detail and knack for finding unique pieces.

Design runs in my family. My grandmother’s immaculate home hinted she could have been a designer, and my wider family were resourceful makers. My biggest influence is my mother, whose love of decorating, gardening, cooking and dressmaking still guides me.

I’ve studied design and developed a personal style: layered looks, an earthy palette and a timeless feel. I also save items from landfill by repurposing furniture — a core house of scrase value.

I’m an ideas person who enjoys solving design problems and editing spaces, believing that living with less helps you appreciate what you have. My ideal job would be set designer, where theatre and storytelling shape the designs — something I try to bring into homes to help people tell their stories.
